Who Are Webelos

“Webelos” stands for “We’ll Be Loyal Scouts.” As Webelos near the end of the Cub Scout trail, it’s time for them to embrace that pledge and prepare for the next leg of the journey: Scouts BSA.

  • Webelos AOL are fifth grade-age children
  • Webelos form dens of six to eight youth scouts
  • Webelos dens are part of a Cub Scout pack
  • Webelos wear the Scouts Uniforms to their activities
  • Webelos move to Boy Scouts at the end of fifth grade

Webelos Program Benefits

  • Offers age-appropriate and fun activities each month
  • Enhances quality family time
  • Encourages positive interaction between Scouts and adults
  • Introduces families to Scouting

What do Webelos do?

  • The Webelos dens will meet 2-3 times per month
  • One meeting each month will be a den meeting
  • The second and third meeting each month for the Webelos dens will be a den outing or pack meeting
  • Webelos use the Webelos Handbook to explore their world, themselves, their families, and their local neighborhoods
