Wolf Den Resources

Who Are Wolves

  • Wolves are second grade-age children
  • Wolves join with a parent or other caring adult partner
  • Wolves form dens of six to eight Lion pairs (child and accompanying adult)
  • Wolf dens are part of a Cub Scout pack
  • Wolves wear the Scouts Youth Uniforms to their activities
  • Wolves move to the next Cub Scout level (Bear) at the end of Second grade

Wolf Program Benefits

  • Offers age-appropriate and fun activities each month
  • Enhances quality family time
  • Encourages positive interaction between Scouts and adults
  • Introduces families to Scouting

What do Wolves do?

  • The Wolf Dens and their adult partners will meet 2-3 times per month
  • One meeting will be with the overall Pack
  • The second and third meetings will be with the Wolf Den in our Monthly meetings (@ Kaw Prairie) and our outdoor events (varies)
  • Wolves use the Wolf Handbook to explore their world, themselves, their families, and their local neighborhoods
  • The Wolf Den leaders and adult partners use the Wolf Handbook and Leader Guide to plan den activities
